I take a shower and brush my teeth before game

Arnar Freyr is going to his third tournment with the Icelandic team. He started at young age playing handball and when asked what ignited his interest he names his step mum. "My step mum, Gerður was playing for Valur and it sparked my interest when I saw what she was doing."

Do you have any rituals before games? Yes, I do. Quite basic. I take a shower and brush my teeth before each game.

When asked to name his favorite place in Iceland, he answers: It's at home with the family, if I need to be more specific I have to say the Icelandic highlands.  In Germany its also my home.

All handball players have idols they look up to. Does Arnar have a player that his his favorite of all time? Yes, I would name the Danish-Norwegian Line player Jesper Nøddesbo.
