1xINTERNET has joined the group of sponsors of the Icelandic Handball Association in 2024. Starting with the EHF Euro 2024 in Germany, 1xINTERNET will have its advertisement on the men's and women's jerseys of the Icelandic national handball teams.
1xINTERNET has a strong connection to both Iceland and Germany, but the company has offices in both countries and works equally for Icelandic and German customers.
"We thought it was exciting to take part in supporting the national team in this way, we have not been involved in a lot of marketing work in Iceland despite working for many great Icelandic companies. 1xINTERNET has offices in Iceland, Germany and Spain where handball is a big sport, so there is naturally a lot of interest in handball within the walls of 1xINTERNET. I myself played handball in my younger years and grew up on the handball court. My dad, Ólafur Jónsson, and brother, Jason Ólafsson, both played for the Icelandic national handball team,” says Baddý Sonja Ólafsdóttir, manager and owner of 1xINTERNET.

On the occasion of the EHF Euro 2024, 1xINTERNET set up a simple website www.hsi.1xinternet.com dedicated to the national team. There you can find informal interviews with the team's players, along with an area where you can send the boys greetings and see an overview of coverage from social media at https://www.hsi.1xinternet.com/fanzone with the hashtag #strakarnirokkar
